Imperfection

A dried red rose, symbolizing faded love, stands starkly against a pale blue background.

Imperfection

Perfection

Perfectly perfect

The thought of perfection infiltrates my brain like a virus

Infecting my reasoning and erasing my Foibles

It tells my uniqueness is wrong and invisibility is better

My short comings need to be longer, and my flaws squashed

It makes the mirror my worst enemy

Pointing out even the smallest blemish

My very nature a defect

Any and all compliments are marred to insults

Another imperfection to change

Another mistake to correct
